Daily Walk - Evil Heart
 
The wisdom of the world tells us to follow our heart in our decisions
... to seek out our heart's desires ... to let our heart guide us in
life.  But the Word of God warns us of our evil hearts ... the heart of
flesh that is so easily tempted and turned by the enemy ... and is by
its nature ... contrary to God ... evil and full of disobedience and
evil imaginations.

So instead of letting our feelings ... our heart's desires ... guide us
through life ... we must let the blood of Christ flow through our hearts
... cleansing and transforming them into the image of His heart ... that
suffered for all ... died to destroy sin and death ... and rose again to
be glorified with the Father ... forever.  Let all our hearts be
purified through the blood of Christ.

Jeremiah 7: 24
But they listened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the
counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward,
and not forward

Jeremiah 18: 12
We will walk after our own devices, and we will every one do the
imagination of his evil heart.

Hebrews 3: 12
Take heed, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of
unbelief, in departing from the living God.

James 4: 8
Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you
sinners; and purify your hearts.
