Everyone has moments of weakness and doubt. Even the prophet Elijah ...
after being used by God in a miraculous display of His awesome power as
the one true God ... he finds himself full of fear and running for his
life from the evil sorceress, Jezebel ... and wishing for his life to end.
But God in His grace and mercy ... sends an angel to minister to Elijah
in this dark and desperate time ... and reminds him that God is with him
... He will strengthen him ... and provide all that he needs.
Recuperated and encouraged, Elijah continues on God's plan for him to
face and defeat Jezebel.
Like Elijah, we can become fearful and discouraged by the trials in life
and we just feel like giving up ... giving in ... running away ... or
just wishing it to end. But we can rest assured that God is right there
with us ... ready to minister to our needs ... to encourage and
strengthen us ... so we can continue on in God's plan for us ... and
defeat the enemy in every battle ... by His power.
1 Kings 19: 2-4
Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying ... your life ... by
tomorrow ... And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life ...
into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he
requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O
LORD, take away my life
Psalm 27: 1
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is
the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
