1.28.23 Daily Word - Perfected

Daily Word - Perfected

One of the greatest weapons of the enemy is to present us with lies about who we are.

At times when everything seems to falling into place... our fortunes, our plans, our dreams ... all coming together as we've planned ... he whispers our praises ... how smart ... how good ... how
independent ... we are!

But absolutely no mention of God's gracious mercy and provision to us.  That's when pride and arrogance can so easily spring forth from such a fertile bed of deception.

But when circumstances have changed ... when we are facing life's trials
... our failures .. financial ruin ... loss of loved ones ... or failing
health ... the enemy will bring up all the accusations of our short
comings ... our weaknesses ... our terrible decisions ... our sinfulness
... and play these trailers over and over, until he convinces us that we
are unworthy and disqualified from the grace of God.

This is his greatest and only weapon ... that we should believe the lies, and forego
our inheritance as heirs through Jesus Christ.

We must reject every one of the enemies lies ... whether building us up
... or tearing us down to condemnation ... and cling to this promise and
truth ... we have been perfected through Jesus Christ ... regardless of
our imperfections of the flesh ... Christ has justified, sanctified and
redeemed us as His.

Hebrews 10:10
"... we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ
once for all."

Hebrews 10:14
"For by one offering he has perfected for ever them that are sanctified"

Daily Word - The Law through faith

THE LAW THROUGH FAITH

There are many today who would abandon the Old Testament and disregard God's laws as a collection of myths, stories and words that are archaic, and invalid by today's acceptable standards.

All that matter is "love" ... all that matters is "grace" ... all that matters is that Christ died for our sins at Calvary.  Beware of this evil lie and deception of the world ... the powers of the air ... our relentless enemy, Satan.

Jesus himself spoke to this directly in Matthew 5:17, "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill."

If the Old Testament and God's Laws are invalid, then why would we need Jesus as our a savior.  Christ came to redeem us from the wages of sin,  as it is written in both the Old and New Testaments, "There is none righteous, no, not one."

The entirety of God's Word, including all of the Old Testament,  provides us God's foundations and His amazing grace and mercy given freely through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Romans 3:31
“Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.”

Romans 3:24-25

"Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God"

Daily Word - Sound Doctrine

Daily Word - Sound Doctrine

It's in our nature to want to know the newest trends ... to be ahead of the pack in our knowledge of the latest things, whatever they may be.

In our selves, rather, in our flesh ... it's no different with "spiritual" things ... we often are allured by the newest trends ... we want to know "the secrets" revealed ... we desire to know more than what the Bible ... God's Word ... has to offer.

But we need to guard ourselves against these desires, no matter how "Godly" they may appear ... they are carnal ... sinful ... and a part of the enemy's plan from the very beginning, to deceive, steal, kill and destroy all that God intends for us.

2 Timothy 4:3-4
-   “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned to fables.”

2 Cor 11:3-4
“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.  For if he that comes preaches another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if you receive another spirit, which you have not received, or another gospel, which you have not accepted, you might well bear with him.”
