Daily Word - Remember

1/19/2024

It is our nature ... our human nature ... to be distressed, even
depressed ... when facing difficult times in our lives ... anguish and
pain growing deep in our souls ... But as we cry out to God, a
miraculous thing happens ... our souls are quieted ... our hearts are
eased ... as we remember God's faithfulness ... His strength ... His
power ... and His promises never fail. Amen.

Psalm 42: 5-6

Why are you cast down, O my soul? and why are you disquieted in me? hope
you in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.
O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember you ...

Daily Word - Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding

We are in such a privileged place to have the mysteries of God's will
made known to us through Christ and his Word, and according to his good
pleasure ... all things for good ...

Ephesians 1: 17-18

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to
you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The
eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is
the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his
inheritance in the saints

Daily Word - Bruised Reed

There are times in life when we feel so broken ... so beat down by the
problems and challenges that life has brought us ... we feel we can
barely take another step. But God, in his grace and mercy provided us
with his Son, Jesus Christ ... and through his sacrifice at Calvary ...
He is our advocate, our redeemer, our savior ... who understands all the
pain ... all the suffering ... and bore it on the cross for our sake ...
that we would not be broken ... our lives would not be put out ... but
we would be reconciled and redeemed to God, forever.

Matthew 12: 18-21

Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is
well pleased: I will put my spirit on him, and he shall show judgment to
the Gentiles ... A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax
shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment to victory. And in his
name shall the Gentiles trust.

Daily Word - No Fear

As we look around, we see a lot of chaos in the world today and it can bring fear and distress into our thoughts and hearts ... moreover, it can cause us to doubt God and His plans ... power ... wisdom in our lives. But we need to break through these bonds of fear ... as God's Word ... His truth ... can cast out of all fear in us through His power and strength:

1 Timothy 1: 7

For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love and of a sound mind.

1 John 4: 18

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love.

Psalm 31: 24

Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all you that hope in the LORD.

Daily Word - Provision

Each and every time God provides for us ... it is exactly what we need.
Often, it might not be what we wanted or expected ... but as we continue
to trust Him, we eventually realize that it was exactly what we needed
and at the exact time we needed it.

Exodus 16: 15-18

They said one to another, It is manna: for they knew not what it was.
And Moses said to them, This is the bread which the LORD has given you
to eat ... Gather of it every man according to his eating ... some
more, some less. And when they did ... he that gathered much had
nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack ...

Matthew 6: 32

For your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things

Daily Word - One Word

How well do we know our Lord and Savior? Can we hear His voice and His
direction in our lives? And more importantly ... are we obedient and
answer when called?

As we press into God and His Word ... we will know His voice ... see
every door that He opens before us and walk through each one. When Mary
Magdalene visited the tomb after Jesus' crucifixion and found that His
body was gone, she broke down and wept .... but with one word uttered,
she recognized Jesus' voice and cried out "Master" ... we need to cry
out as well.

John 20: 16

Jesus said to her, Mary. She turned herself, and said to him, Rabboni;
which is to say, Master

John 10: 27

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me

Daily Word - Righteous

We are all redeemed and forever indebted to Christ's sacrifice at Calvary and the gift of salvation that has been given to us. And through Him, we have been restored to our Father in heaven as sons and heirs ... having the righteousness of Christ upon our us.

Romans 3: 10

There is none righteous, no, not one

1 Peter 3: 12

For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayers

1 Peter 3:18

For Christ also has once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God

Daily Word - For Me

We often forget ... in the midst of life's battles, when we feel our
worst and it seems we're all alone to face the challenges ahead ... that
we have our Father in heaven ... Jesus Christ, our redeemer ... and the
power of the Holy Spirit ... all "in our corner" for us ... but what's
even more amazing ... He's there for each of us individually ... just
for you and just for me! Amen.

Psalm 59: 6

When I cry to you, then shall my enemies turn back: this I know; for God
is for me

Romans 8: 31

If God be for us, who can be against us?

Daily Word - Strength

1/4/2024

It doesn't matter our age ... young or old ... without God's help, His
strength, and power in our lives ... we will become tired ... weary ...
and fall. But God is faithful to pick us up when we do, as we call upon
His name for help in our times of need. Amen.

Isaiah 40: 30-31
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall
utterly fall: But they that wait on the LORD shall renew their
strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and
not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Daily Word - Teach your Children

1/4/2024

Over many generations, it has become accepted among most, that our
churches ... our schools ... and others ... to teach our children ...
especially when it comes to the knowledge and understanding of God ...
His Word ... and His place in our hearts and souls. But God's calling
and desire is to have fathers and mothers teach their children in His
truth ... His Word ... and life.

Deuteronomy 11: 18-19
Therefore shall you lay up these my words in your heart ... And you
shall teach them your children, speaking of them when you sit in your
house, and when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you
rise up.

Joel 1: 3
Tell you your children of it, and let your children tell their children,
and their children another generation
