West Virginia Chemical Spill: A Warning from God?

1/12/2014

Picture
The chemical spilled in this leak was
4-methylcyclohexane methanol.

Meth- is a prefix used in chemistry. It indicates that a chemical compound has been derived from methane or contains "methyl" groups.

The chemical that was spilled therefore shares the same chemical group and prefix as Methamphetamine.  In fact, it shares this prefix twice over (
methylcyclohexane methanol)
- Doubled!

I can't help but think there may be a message here:  West Virginia is one of the states with the highest Meth use and manufacture.

The LORD is patient and slow to anger, but perhaps He is giving his people a wake-up call.

The Bible speaks of the LORD's punishment being double for sin and iniquity, and for allowing the 'land to be defiled'.

West Virginia, and many other states, have allowed the 'Meth' problem to proliferate with no end in sight.

This terrible drug is a plague and ruins the people involved as well as destroying the land and property anywhere near its manufacture.

Meth has caused terrible fires, well poisoning, destruction of property, and the complete ruin of countless lives.

The Lord is pleading with us:  "
Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the Lord of hosts."  Malachi 3:7

Turn to the Lord, before it's too late, and before we receive DOUBLE for our iniquities:

Isaiah 40:2 Jerusalem hath received of the Lord's hand double for all her sins.

Isaiah 61:7 For your shame ye shall have double.

Jeremiah 16:18 And first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double; because they have defiled my land, they have filled mine inheritance with the carcases of their detestable and abominable things.

Jeremiah 17:18 ...Bring upon them the day of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.

Ezekiel 21:14 Thou therefore, son of man, prophesy, and smite thine hands together. and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the slain...

Dealing With Habitual Sins

1/11/2014

PictureThat they may recover themselves. 2 Timothy 2:26
Habitual Sins:

1.  Sin has great power over our flesh. 2.  Sin easily entangles us because it is so close.  3.  Sin does not remain separate but it mingles in all our motives and all our actions (and it will 'mingle' in among the Church).

Dealing With Habitual Sin:

1.  Don't underestimate the seriousness of your sin. 2.  Strongly purpose and promise God not to sin. 3.  Be suspicious of your own spirituality. 4.  Resist the first risings of the flesh and its pleasures.  5.  Be immediately repentant over your lapses.

2 Corinthians 7:1
says, "Let us cleanse ourselves of all filthiness of the flesh.,,"

Ephesians 4:22 "That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;"

Romans 6:12  "
Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof."

1 Peter 2:1 commends, "Laying aside... all evil."  Verse 11, "Abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul."

Verses on how to deal with sin in the church (esp. OPEN sin)
 -

Matthew 18:15-17
"Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.  But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican."

Verses on how the Church should be 'separate' from the world -

2 Corinthians 6:14-17 "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you."

The church should not be seen to support overt sin -

1 Thess. 5:21-23 "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."

My blessings to all - we are all in this 'race' together:

James 1:2-3  "My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience."

2 Timothy 2:26 "And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will."

Rick Warren: Christian Fundamentalism Enemy of 21st Century!

Rick Warren Predicts Christian Fundamentalism
To Be Enemy of 21st Century
!

Below is a quote from Rick Warren that shows his beliefs to be very 'heretical' and outside the confines of scripture.

I wonder which one of these 5 essential 'Fundamentals of the Faith' that Rick Warren doesn't believe in?! - Maybe all of them...

SOURCE: LIGHTHOUSE TRAILS -

"In a new world order, fundamentalism (adhering strictly to doctrine) will be a threat. This is also what Rick Warren said, when he stated in 2006 that fundamentalism will be “one of the big enemies of the 21st century. . . . Muslim fundamentalism, Christian fundamentalism, Jewish fundamentalism, secular fundamentalism – they’re all motivated by fear. Fear of each other.’” 1 Less than a year earlier, he defined what he means by “fundamentalism” when he spoke at the Pew Forum on Religion and said:

"Today there really aren’t that many Fundamentalists left; I don’t know if you know that or not, but they are such a minority; there aren’t that many Fundamentalists left in America … Now the word ‘fundamentalist’ actually comes from a document in the 1920s called the Five Fundamentals of the Faith. And it is a very legalistic, narrow view of Christianity."

Quote by Rick Warren
, May 2005

FIVE FUNDAMENTALS OF THE FAITH - There are five fundamentals of the faith which are essential for Christianity, and upon which we agree:

1.    The Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:1; John 20:28; Hebrews 1:8-9).

2.    The Virgin Birth (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:27).

3.    The Blood Atonement (Acts 20:28; Romans 3:25, 5:9; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 9:12-14).

4.    The Bodily Resurrection (Luke 24:36-46; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, 15:14-15).

5.    The inerrancy of the scriptures themselves (Psalms 12:6-7; Romans 15:4; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20).

And those who disagree with any of the above doctrines are not Christians at all. Rather, they are the true heretics.

So disagreements are perfectly acceptable within the confines of Christianity, because our salvation does not hinge upon doctrines other than the above five.

But if some deny even one of the five fundamentals mentioned above, they have departed from the faith, "giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils" (1 Timothy 4:1). By denying the above scriptural doctrines, they have heaped to themselves "teachers, having itching ears" (2 Timothy 4:3); thereby even "denying the Lord that bought them" (2 Peter 2:1). These are the true heretics, who are preaching "another Jesus", according to 2 Corinthians 11:4:

For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

And later in this same chapter, Paul refers to these people as the ministers of Satan, in 2 Corinthians 11:13-15:

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

So, please - if you take offense to differences in lesser doctrines, don't think that we are condemning you as unbelievers or heretics. Nothing could be further from the truth. As long as you hold to the five fundamentals of the faith, you may join the debate. And together, we shall reprove the unfruitful works of darkness (Ephesians 5:11).

Please note: this is NOT a reference to the "King James Only" debate; rather, this is a reference to people who claim to have revelations apart from the scriptures.

The Creator of All That Is...

1/7/2014

Picture
WORSHIP THE CREATOR OF ALL:

Scientists would say it’s a myth that God created the world in six days. It is indeed NO myth. The problem is that humans try to measure God with their human standards. The truth is that God will never fit man’s measuring tape because God’s measurement is different from ours.

It was written, “And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.” (Matt. 17:2). God’s essence is like light. The Bible said that there is no darkness in God. So if God is light, God must also travel as fast as light does. Light travels 186,000 miles per second, 700 miles per hour. When men take two days to travel around the globe once, God would have traveled around the globe 309 times in only one second.

So when we equate this into days, one day of man’s time is already 27 million days for God. God’s speed is a lot faster than ours. Nothing can match up if we use our speed to measure God’s as God’s is different from ours. You might still wonder about the dinosaurs and a lot of other things. I am just looking forward to asking God about all those when I am in Heaven because we are going to have a lot of time there and I will have plenty of time to find out everything from God in Heaven.

But you have to make sure you will get to Heaven first, otherwise you won’t be able to ask how He created everything else. You might wonder why God didn’t put everything in the Bible about everything else. If He did, the Bible would be tremendously huge. It was written, “
And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written.” (John 21:25).

The Bible we were given is small enough that we can carry it with our hands, as it was written that, “
And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.” (John 20:30-31).

The purpose of the Bible is for us to know enough to believe in Jesus and be able to have a life in Him, so that we can live a life that is eternal and abundant in God. The purpose of the word of God is not to tell us everything, such as how the dinosaurs were created, but to give us examples to follow, lessons to learn, and eternal life to be gained. If you miss all these, you are basically missing life. And you will end up living without hope, not knowing what the next turn is.

The word of God is very precious and I encourage you to read the word of God every day and have your hearts constantly renewed. The Bible has enough for you as a guide book for here and now on earth. When you get to the Heaven, you will get to sit in a 'theater' to see how everything was created by God. But you have to make sure that you can get to Heaven first. Otherwise, everything you are doing under the sun without God is in vain.

If you haven’t accepted Jesus yet, I invite you to accept Him today. You don’t have to be perfect to accept Jesus. All you need to do is to submit your heart to Him and accept Him into your life. When you believe by faith, you have eternal life in His name. It required of you to take action to accept Jesus. It’s Him who can change you from the inside out.

Transformation will only begin by receiving Jesus.   Amen.
