Prescription Drugs and Luke 11:26

2/8/2014

PicturePHARMAKEIA
Pharmakeia and Sorcery

We have all seen those commercials on the t.v. for the latest 'prescription drug' benefits.

Then, in smaller print, or softer voice-over, we also are told about the possible side-effects.

As you listen to these 'side-effects', you realize that most of them are much worse than the ailment that
the drug is said to help.

It made me think of the passage in Luke 11 where it speaks of a man who has been cleansed of an 'unclean spirit', but in doing so
is then revisited by seven more spirits worse than the first.

This is exactly what happens
with most of the prescription drugs now being given to people.

While some medications can be necessary for an acute illness, the majority cause far more harm than good - and several more maladies 'worse than the first'!

Guard Your Heart - Physically AND Spiritually!

2/6/2014

Guard Your Heart! - February is Heart Health Month

God cares about our hearts on many levels!  There are well over 800 references to the heart in the Bible.

Here are a few things you can do to keep your heart healthy - physically AND spiritually!

  • Eat a healthy diet. A plant-based diet is one of the best medicines for your heart. Eat those greens!
  • Exercise regularly. We know, seems simple.  But there is a reason why exercise is always on the to-do list. Your body, especially your heart, needs it! Get out and take a brisk walk on a regular basis.
  • Find accountability. Accountability is crucial for physical and spiritual health. A little friendly encouragement can spur you on to go from sitting on the couch to sitting on the bike. Same goes for your spiritual heart health.
  • Spend time in the Word. Fill your heart up with the Gospel and the Gospel is what will flow out of it.
  • Pray. Without ceasing. We have a direct line to the Giver of Life. Talking to Him is key for living life to the fullest. Join your brothers and sisters in Christ in prayer.  Share your prayer requests, and bless others by praying for theirs.

Contact us HERE. We would love to pray for you and help you on your journey to a healthier 'heart'!

Proverbs 4:23  "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life."

Proverbs 17:22  " A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones."

Try S.T.O.P. 'Therapy' - It Really Works!

2/3/2014

PictureSTOP THOUGHT OF PROBLEM
S.T.O.P. Therapy works on the premise of simply eliminating a thought from your mind - even if only momentarily.

This works especially well with those 'nagging' thoughts that repeatedly bother you.

In S.T.O.P. Therapy, the STOP simply stands for 'Stop Thought of Problem'.  Very simple but effective.

While not an officially recognized 'therapy' (all the better!), it does have some similarity to the idea of 'thought stopping' used in psychology.

However, with Thought Stopping, you purposely focus on a fear or other particular thought - even at a time when you weren't actually thinking about it.

You then choose a set amount of time to not think of the thing that you just decided to think of not thinking about...  : )

With S.T.O.P. Therapy, though, the idea is to take captive a certain thought as it comes up.

You then 'suspend' that thought when it arrives - even for only a second or two.

This is enough time to give you a chance to see what you would feel like without this 'irritant'.

It's a very simple idea that works very well.  I have used this technique myself with good success.

It gives you a chance to know that you can break free from any obsessive thought.

This idea also has a biblical basis, and why it may work so well (God made us & knows how we tick!).

2 Corinthians 10:5 says this:

"Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ."

As it becomes a habit to take your thoughts captive, you will be made free indeed from this 'thorn in your flesh'.  2 corinthians 12 7

Have a very blessed day!

John 8:36  "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."

Matthew 19:26  "But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible."

Hope for Brain-Dead and Coma Patients

1/8/2014

2 Brain-Dead children in 2 weeks!
PictureFinley Boyle
Two 'routine' procedures gone wrong in two weeks.

One in Hawaii, a 3- year old girl declared brain-dead after a pediatric 'root-canal'.

(See story HERE.)

PictureJahi McMath
Another brain death occurred in California after a 'routine' tonsil surgery.

This is so uncalled for.

(See story HERE)

Hope for Brain-Dead and Coma Patients:

Two possible treatments that aren't widely known or used by doctors that could help in a coma include:

Zolpidem (Ambien) - a Sleeping Pill that has awakened many in a coma, even those declared 'brain dead'.

Pill has opposite effect on coma patients.: "Drug could overcome brain shutdown caused by trauma."

(See HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE, for examples.)

There are many more as well, just Google: Sleeping Pill Wakes Up Coma.

Among other treatments not often considered by 'mainstream' medicine is Hyperbaric Oxygen.

This is useful in any type of case where there was head trauma and/or oxygen deprivation.

Both Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and Ambien (Zolpidem) increase the blood-flow to the brain.  'The life of the flesh is in the blood.'
Leviticus 17:11

This is so crucial, and very much worth trying if you have a loved one in this situation.

Even just increased Oxygen (through a mask or tent) can help to accelerate healing.

Doctors are simply not 'trained' to consider these remedies, so they're not in their 'repertoire'.

You have to be proactive and ask about it, or seek out an HOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) facility.

Many hospitals have recently installed Hyperbaric Chambers as the benefits are becoming well-known.

Benefits range from help with Stroke and Heart Attack, to Diabetic Ulcer and MRSA Infection.

Other uses are for head trauma, burns, radiation sickness, poison injury, and of course the bends.

Please don't hesitate.  The sooner you can start this type of treatment, the better the outcome.

Additionally, don't rely solely on the doctor's advice.  Physicians can be invaluable, but no one doctor knows absolutely 'everything.'

The cases above, and others like it, amount to harm from the doctors themselves.

Iatrogenic, or doctor-caused, death is the 3rd leading cause of death in the U.S.  (Drugs, procedures, etc.)

Iatrogenesis is defined as: "Preventable harm resulting from medical treatment or advice to patients."

My love to you, and may God bless you.

Hosea 4:6  "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge..."

3 John 1:2  "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."

Christian Home Funerals

Home Funerals -

There are many important personal choices that we face in this life.  In previous posts, we have spoken of Salvation, as well as Insurance, as being among them.

The decision to place your trust in Christ is the very most crucial choice that you will ever make in your life.

Where you will end up in the afterlife is of the most absolute importance.  Leaving this life with that assurance is of great comfort - to yourself as well as your loved ones.

In the quest for leaving this world in a peaceful and comforting manner is also the choice in how we intend to prepare for our own funerary wishes.

Friends and family will be greatly comforted to know that you are being cared for in the way that you would have wished at the end of your life.

This includes arrangements for your funeral and interment, as well as all financial and property designations being in place.

No matter how much or how little you may have had in 'material' wealth in this world, these things will need to be dealt with at the time of death.

Having these decisions made beforehand is of great peace of mind to all involved in the grieving process.

Click title for the free e-book entitled: Undertaken With Love.  It details the process for a simple and personalized approach to funeral arrangements.

This publication also outlines the many different options for funeral and burial, as well as end-of-life care and legal matters.

Additionally, it has a wealth of information regarding Christian burial and serves as a home funeral guide for both Congregations and Communities.

A simplified and economical approach helps to bring matters back into the hands of those who most loved the person being cared for, which is how it should be.

Genesis 49:29  "And he charged them, and said unto them, I am to be gathered unto my people: bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite."

Alternative to Obamacare: 'Medi-Share'

Christian Family Insurance -

While, as Christians, we consider our Assurance of Salvation to be much more important than traditional insurance, we also have a need to protect ourselves and our families from unforeseen health needs - from accidents to illness.

An Alternative to Obamacare:   'Medi-Share'

Insurance is a very important and personal choice.  You should always explore all the options, to see which plan is right for you.

On this website, I have said that I only give information and review about products and services with which I am familiar.

That's the case here, also.  I can only talk about a health-care plan that we have used, and know something about.

On this page is information about an exemption that is included in the new health reform bill, the Affordable Care Act.

Medical bill-sharing plans, such as the Medi-Share plan mentioned below, are an option to purchasing a plan within the healthcare exchanges.

Medishare Members Exemption -

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA or ACA for short) was signed into law by President Obama in 2010. Designed to provide greater access to healthcare and to reduce its costs, the law requires all Americans to have health insurance by January 1, 2014--whether purchased individually, through an employer, or through a government program like Medicaid or Medicare.  Those who don't comply will pay a penalty

The new law contains a special provision for members of Healthcare Sharing Ministries, making Medi-Share members exempt from the mandate to purchase insurance by 2014 or face financial penalties. Law Language  - (Sec 1501, page 148 addresses the exemption)

With seven plans to choose from, you'll find flexible, convenient choices to fit virtually every Christian family.  Medi-Share members also pray for and send notes of encouragement to each other, supported by an organization that provides health education and promotes biblical living.

Healthcare Costs Expected To Rise - In a difficult economy and with private health insurance premiums expected to rise dramatically over the next several years, Christians everywhere are looking at their finances and wondering, "How am I going to be able to afford decent healthcare?"

Medi-Share is the answer.  Because members live healthy biblical lifestyles, costs are affordable--family options average less than $300 a month.  Since 1993, Medi-Share members have saved more than $750 Million in healthcare expenses through sharing and discounting. But best of all, Medi-Share offers a true community with a shared commitment."

Is Physical Health Promised in the Bible?

12/16/2013

PictureTHERE IS "HEALING IN HIS WINGS." (Mal. 4:2)
This verse from the book of James is a very good one in addressing the "Healthy, Wealth and Prosperity" doctrine about praying for healing:

James 5:15  -
"And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him."

This verse states that the, "prayer of faith" (our own prayer of faith ... i.e. our own salvation prayer ... when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior) ... "shall save the sick"

(This act of faith, our prayer to accept the Lord will "save us" ... and give us everlasting life ... not "heal us" of our current ailment or sickness ... in this temporal life) ...

"And the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him" (reaffirms that this verse and our "prayer of faith" is speaking directly to our salvation and our forgiveness in Christ).

There are so many Christians who are devastated when they pray for "healing" and don't receive it .... when they just need to realize that their "prayer of faith" has already been answered in the everlasting forgiveness of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Love in Christ.
