Thanksgiving...

THANKS BE TO GOD!

This annual holiday has come to be symbolized by roasted Turkey, stuffing with gravy, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie...  

Not to mention the seemingly bigger holiday which follows it ... Black Friday!!


... Hundreds of thousands shopping from midnight-to-midnight looking (or fighting) for the best stuff ... the best deals ... the best buy!


But we should all take a moment to consider what this holiday should truly symbolize ... here are a few definitions of the meaning of Thanksgiving from the Unabridged Dictionary:

1.  The act of giving thanks;  Grateful acknowledgment of benefits of favors, especially to God.
2.  An expression of thanks, especially to God.
3.  A prayer expressing gratitude.
4..  A day set apart for giving thanks to God.

And from 2 Corinthians 9:8 and 9:11 ...

 "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work;

Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causes through us thanksgiving to God."


Let's all truly give God our thanks-giving, this year and everyday we are blessed with!
