Daily Word - Faith and Patience

7/7/2025

Daily Word - Faith and Patience

Our journey of faith begins when we accept Christ as our Lord and
Savior.  Yet, without trials and tribulations in our lives, our faith
remains as small as it began and can even diminish as the currents of
this world begin to wear down the faith we had.

But as we face storms in our lives .... as the winds of adversity begin
to howl, and the waves of trials crash against us ... we are not only
safe in the arms or our Lord ... but our faith is stretched ... our
trust in God strengthened ... and our lives become a testimony to God's
glory.

It is a quandary ... especially when facing extreme adversity in our
lives ... but we must strive to praise God in the face of every trial,
knowing He is faithful in all things.  And our faith will grow beyond
what we could have ever imagined ...  and bring about every good work
until the day we are in His presence ... forever.  Amen

1 Peter 1: 7
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that
perishes, though it be tried with fire, might be found to praise and
honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ

James 1: 3
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith works patience.

Romans 5: 2
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that
tribulation works patience

Daily Word - Not Turned

Daily Word - Not Turned

An important part of cooking anything well is to be sure to turn it over
and to cook both sides evenly and thoroughly.  Whether you're cooking
pancakes or steaks ... turning items over and cooking on both sides is
key to cooking it well without burning.

In our spiritual lives ... we're often placed on the Lord's fire on one
side of our lives ... and quickly seared by the fire of the Holy Spirit
... but are still "raw" in our flesh on the other side. Often, we feel
as though "we're done" ...  but then feel the Lord turning us over to
continue in His fire and are surprised that there is more time for us in
the fire.

But we must be obedient in allowing the Lord to "turn us over" and let
His Holy Spirit's  sanctifying fire, finish its work in us
through-and-through ... until that day when we're perfected through His
Holy Fire and everlasting love.

Hosea 7:  6-8
For they have made ready their heart like an oven ... it burns as a
flaming fire ... there is none among them that calls to me ... Ephraim
is a cake not turned

Daily Word - Shaken

Daily Word - Shaken

With all the recent earthquakes ... tornadoes ... hurricanes ... and
every other destructive storm ... we should be reminded that one day soon,
all the earth and heaven will be shaken by the hand of God ... and
everything that has been created, will be destroyed ... except for His
children ... whom He loves and has redeemed through His son, Jesus Christ.

So with every news story of another destructive storm or natural
disaster ... we should hear God whispering to us ... and humbly pray to
our Father, thanking Him for His grace and mercy  ... and look up to Him
on that day when all heaven and earth will be shaken and destroyed.  And
we will be united with God in His kingdom forever. Amen.

Isaiah 13: 13
Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of
her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his
fierce anger

Ezekiel 38: 20
So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the
beasts of the field ... and all the men that are on the face of the
earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown
down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the
ground

Joel 3: 16
The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from
Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will
be the hope of his people

Daily Word - In Exchange

Daily Word - In Exchange

Many of us ... if not all ... have experienced a situation where someone
wants to do an exchange with us ... something we have that we think of
little or no value and the other person is offering us something else of
much greater value ... whether it be an old car for a new one ... or
more compensation we would expect for just an hour of our time ... we
feel that we have received an unfair exchange in our favor.

But by far, the greatest example of an inequitable exchange is the
redemption we receive by the blood of Christ.  In exchange for our
iniquity ... our chains of sin and death ... Christ has taken it all
upon Himself ... and has given us everlasting life ... a rich
inheritance as heirs in His kingdom ... and righteousness and glory with
Him ... forever.  This is truly amazing grace.

Matthew 16: 26
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose
his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

2 Corinthians 5: 21
For he has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be
made the righteousness of God in him.

Romans 5: 17
For if by one man's offense death reigned by one; much more they which
receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign
in life by one, Jesus Christ

Daily Word - Sift You as Wheat

Daily Word - Sift You as Wheat

We know that the enemy is always looking for any opportunity to destroy
us ... standing and waiting for the chance to steal, kill and destroy
anyone that he might. For any who are unaware of his evil intentions ...
they might consider everything as "just life" and never realize there is
an enemy always lurking.  For those who love God and know the enemy's
plans ... they can resist the devil through the power of the cross ...
and know that he is already defeated.

And through every battle ... every trial they face ... God is
strengthening them ... sanctifying them ... and building them up and
perfecting them ... for His glory.

Zechariah 3: 1
And he showed me Joshua ... standing before the angel of the LORD, and
Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.

Luke 22: 31
Satan has desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:

James 4: 7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee
from you.

Daily Word - I Knew You

Daily Word - I Knew You

In those times when we find ourselves struggling ... doubting ... not
sure about God's plan for us ... not believing that God even has a plan
for us, we need to remind ourselves ... and battle against the lies
that we are on our own and God is not there ...

That God "knew us" before we were born ... He formed us Himself ... and has always had a plan for our lives.  We just need to ... we must ... trust Him.  That He
is our Maker and Redeemer ... and in obedience by faith ... let His plans for our lives unfold to His glory.

Isaiah 44: 24

Thus said the LORD, your redeemer, and he that formed you from the womb, I am the LORD that makes all things; that stretches forth the heavens alone; that spreads abroad the earth by myself

Jeremiah 1: 5

Before I formed you in the belly I knew you; and before you came forth out of the womb I sanctified you

Psalm 9: 10

And they that know your name will put their trust in you: for you, LORD, have not forsaken them that seek you.

Daily Word - Help Lord

Daily Word - Help Lord

Sometimes the hardest ... but simplest ... thing to do is for us to ask
for help.  Whether we feel we don't deserve it or we don't need any help
... it can be the biggest obstacle for us when facing our problems and
challenges in life.

But God is always there ... just waiting for us to ask.  He will never
leave or forsake us.  Our prayer this morning is simply ... Help, Lord.

Psalm 12: 1
Help, LORD

Isaiah 41: 13
For I the LORD your God will hold your right hand, saying to you, Fear
not; I will help you

Hebrews 13: 5
For he has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you

Daily Word - My Light and My Salvation

7/7/2025

Daily Word - My Light and My Salvation

Psalm 27: 1-6
1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is
the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked, even my enemies and my foes, came on me to eat up my
flesh, they stumbled and fell.
3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear:
though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I
may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold
the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.
5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the
secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up on a rock.
6 And now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies round about me:
therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing,
yes, I will sing praises to the LORD

Psalm 27: 14
14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your
heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

Daily Word - The Corner, the Nail, the Bow

Daily Word - The Corner, the Nail, the Bow

From the beginning of creation ... Christ has always been the only one
to establish His people ... to redeem them from sin and death ... and to
be their strength and power to defeat the enemy.

There is no other that is our cornerstone ... our foundation ... no
other that took our sins and nailed them upon the cross ... and that has
given us strength and power to defeat the gasp of sin and death by the
enemy and every oppressor.  All praise, glory and honor to Jesus Christ,
our Lord and Savior.

Zechariah 10: 4
Out of him came forth the corner, out of him the nail, out of him the
battle bow, out of him every oppressor together

Isaiah 22: 22-25
And the key of the house of David will I lay on his shoulder; so he
shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall
open.  And I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place; and he shall be
for a glorious throne to his father's house.  And they shall hang on him
all the glory of his father's house

Revelation 3: 7
He that is holy, he that is true, he that has the key of David, he that
opens, and no man shuts; and shuts, and no man opens

Daily Word - Magnify the Lord

Daily Word - Magnify the Lord

As we grow older, some of us will need glasses to magnify the words on
the pages we read.  Others use microscopes in their work to magnify
things to small to see with just our eyes ... and there are telescopes
that can magnify the farthest stars in the heavens.  Yet the one things
about magnification is that all else tends to blurs and disappear ...
except the one things we are focused on.

When we magnify the Lord ... when we focus our minds and hearts on Him
... all else fads away ... all our problems ... all our fears and
concerns ... all our selfish desires ... they all become a blur in the
peripheral ... and we only see our glorious Lord ... His mercy and
love.  But as we take our focus off of God ... all these problems and
concerns come quickly back into our focus.  Our prayer today ... Dear
Lord, lets us keep our eyes focused on You ... Our Redeemer ... Our Lord
and Savior ... that we would magnify You in our lives ... and give You
all praise and glory ... forever.  Amen.

Psalm 34: 3
O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.

Luke 1: 46
My soul does magnify the Lord ... And my spirit has rejoiced in God my
Savior.
