Daily Word - Be Still

8/23/2015

PicturePSALM 46:10
The most secure and comforting thing during times of hardship, disasters and tragedy,

Is that we have an awesome, gracious God who has the entire world in His hand ...

Who knows our sufferings and pains ... and is always gracious, kind and faithful to His children.

Psalm 46:1-3; 10

1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the middle of the sea

3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake

10 Be still, and know that I am God

Psalm 94:19

"In the multitude of my thoughts within me, thy comforts delight my soul."

Daily Word - His Workmanship

PictureEPHESIANS 2:10
Sometimes we can become very discouraged when we look at our own life.  It is very hard to believe that we could be God's workmanship...

Let alone to believe that we were created unto good works.  Sometimes it seems instead like everything is against us.  And that nothing we have done is right.

Dear God, I only pray today that I can walk in the goodness that you have already ordained for me, and that you would give me the security to know that I am on the right path - where you want me to be and doing what you would have me do.

Ephesians 2:10
KJV

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."

Daily Word - Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

8/10/2015

PicturePSALM 139:16
Over the last two decades, our knowledge about genetic codes and the DNA of living organisms has become extremely advanced...

To the point of identifying relatives, solving crimes, medical cures and so many other aspects that were not even conceived of just 50 or 60 years ago.

But what's even more amazing is the more we learn about ourselves and the world around us, the more we see that it is God who designed us...

Including this world, and everything that we can see, feel or touch, and so much more.  It was God, who long before we were ever born, wrote each of our unique DNA codes, which makes each of us who we are ... and His creation.

Psalm 139:14

"I will praise you; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are your works; and that my soul knows right well."

Psalm 139:16

"Your eyes did see my substance, yet being imperfect; and in your book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them."
