Daily Word - Foolish

3/2/2024

Picture
How many times have we looked around and seen people in this world with tremendous wealth, fame ... seemingly everything that one could want or desire ...

But they are against God ... against his Word and truth ...and we think to ourselves, "how can these, that do not love or honor God, be "blessed" with so much?"

Yet these thoughts are foolish ... for not all gains are blessings ... and often they are a curse ... a stumbling block keeping us from the true treasures of God ...
incorruptible ... everlasting ... and more precious than anything this world has to offer.

Psalm 73: 3

For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked...

Psalm 73: 17

Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.

Psalm 73: 21-24
So foolish was I, and ignorant ... Nevertheless I am continually with
you: you have held me by my right hand.  You shall guide me with your
counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

1 Peter 1: 3-4

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ ... by the
resurrection of Jesus Christ ... an inheritance incorruptible, and
undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven for you.

Daily Word - Glory in This

It can be a very subtle thing ... but when we're blessed by God, either materially or physically, we might tend to forget that all of it comes to us by His hand.

We need to keep our perspective clear ... and our pride in check ...  remembering that our pride should be in one aspect alone ... that we are blessed by our loving, gracious and generous Father in Heaven, through Jesus Christ.

Jeremiah 9: 23-24

Thus said the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:  But let him that glories glory in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD which exercise loving kindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, said the LORD.

Daily Word - Praise

3/2/2024

PicturePSALM 113:1-3 KJV
It is our privilege ... as well as our challenge ... to praise the Lord in all things ... things we think might be good ... things that we see as bad ... or even horrible.

We are not praising the circumstance ...the outcome ... or the situation ... but we are praising our Father in
Heaven, our savior and redeemer in Jesus Christ, and His Holy Spirit that comforts us through everything we face.

Psalm 113:  1-3

Praise you the LORD. Praise, O you servants of the LORD, praise the name
of the LORD.  Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and
for ever more.  From the rising of the sun to the going down of the same
the LORD's name is to be praised
