Daily Word: Reassurance

9/9/2014

PictureISAIAH 40:31
Welcome to the first installment of the Daily Word for encouragement, discernment, and enrichment through study of the Holy Bible.

Everyday, no matter what we're facing, God's promises are true and everlasting ... giving us the strength to carry on no matter what trials may come or what evil the enemy may intend ... God will provide us His strength, wisdom and power to carry us through it all.

Ch. 40:31  -
But they that wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint

Ch.
41:10 -  Fear you not; for I am with you: be not dismayed; for I am your God: I will strengthen you; yes, I will help you; yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness

If you know someone who needs to be reassured of God's awesome promises ... please share this with them.

Some 'Interesting' Nephilim Questions

Nephilim Questions & Answers

Hi -   I had a few questions about the Nephilim.  (Maybe several.)

I was wondering if the Nephilim is only the angel that fell, or if it also applies to their offspring.

While the word Nephilim does not appear in the KJV, these were the 'giants', that were the offspring of fallen angels.

Also, it seems as though this offspring was said to be unable to be saved.

Yes, they are said to be unable to be saved, due to their nature and being conceived by a fallen spirit.

If the Nephilim offspring then also marry a human woman (like their fallen angel father did), will that new offspring (1/4 fallen angel) also not be able to be saved.

Very interesting question. At what point do they (or can they) get back to human and being redeemable??

Are there still people around today that have part of the Nephilim 'seed' in them (however small); and, if so, are they also condemned?

They say yes. Royalty, ruling class, illuminati, priests, broadcasters, etc.

If these people are still among us, what would be 'different' about them?  Would they be the ones that seem to have no conscience whatsoever?

Could be the sociopaths, mass murders, etc. I do  wonder what they look like.

Would they look a little different (like Gemma Arterton who was born with 6 fingers on each hand, or like those with long-shaped skulls, or extremely tall, etc.)?

I do believe that some of the physical aberrations we see today could definitely be from this.

If there were giants before and AFTER the flood, are there any around or did they die out, or are there still some with that bloodline?

It is said that there are those with this bloodline still around.  Some may be able to 'blend in' easily to society, while others remain in hiding, perhaps in remote or underground areas.

Is this possible bloodline one of the reasons why they seem to want to make a DNA database for everyone to see who's who?

I have heard it said they are looking for it because it's a demonically powerful blood line.

Just some thoughts & questions rolling around in my head.  Still watching and reading information online & trying to figure it out - mostly for curiosity.

Me too!! Still trying to figure it out!!!

Thanks!  : )

The Bible tells us that the end times will be 'like the days of Noah'.  During this time, the Giants will walk the earth again - in plain sight of man.

Matthew 24:37
" But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."

What were the days of Noah like?  We get a picture of these days in Genesis 6:

Genesis 6:4  "There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them..."

Genesis 6:12  "And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth..."

Genesis 6:1-8

1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

7 And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

Prescription Drugs and Luke 11:26

2/8/2014

PicturePHARMAKEIA
Pharmakeia and Sorcery

We have all seen those commercials on the t.v. for the latest 'prescription drug' benefits.

Then, in smaller print, or softer voice-over, we also are told about the possible side-effects.

As you listen to these 'side-effects', you realize that most of them are much worse than the ailment that
the drug is said to help.

It made me think of the passage in Luke 11 where it speaks of a man who has been cleansed of an 'unclean spirit', but in doing so
is then revisited by seven more spirits worse than the first.

This is exactly what happens
with most of the prescription drugs now being given to people.

While some medications can be necessary for an acute illness, the majority cause far more harm than good - and several more maladies 'worse than the first'!

Romans Road of Salvation

1/5/2014

THE ROMANS ROAD TO SALVATION:

God in His infinite mercy and love has provided a way of salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ.  He did this because He loves you and me.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16

What must you do to receive Christ as your Savior?

  • First, you must admit that you are a sinner and need to be saved.
  • Second, you must repent and be willing to turn from your sin.
  • Third, you must believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross.
  • Fourth, you must receive through prayer, Jesus Christ into your heart and life.

The greatest road anyone will ever travel:

"Romans Road of Salvation"

Romans 3:23  “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

Romans 6:23
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Romans 5:8  “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Romans 10:9  “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

Romans 10:13
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Romans 8:1
“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

Romans 8:38-39  “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

The Accursedness of Owls

The Accursedness of Owls -

Owls are used by many companies in their logos (not the least of which is 'Hooters').  This is not by accident.  The owl, a night creature, is a vile symbol of occult knowledge and power.

In the Holy Bible, it is associated with idolatry, accursedness, harlotry and wickedness.  Owls are considered an 'abomination' to the LORD.

Below are several of the many references to owls in the King James Bible.  The owl is always regarded as an 'unclean bird'

These references in Isaiah are about the LORD's vengeance.   Owls are also mentioned several times in Leviticus and Deuteronomy as an 'unclean' bird and an 'abomination to the LORD'.

Isaiah 34:10-15 - King James Version (KJV)

10 It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever.

11 But the cormorant and the bittern shall possess it; the owl also and the raven shall dwell in it: and he shall stretch out upon it the line of confusion, and the stones of emptiness.

12 They shall call the nobles thereof to the kingdom, but none shall be there, and all her princes shall be nothing.

13 And thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles and brambles in the fortresses thereof: and it shall be an habitation of dragons, and a court for owls.

14 The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; the screech owl also shall rest there, and find for herself a place of rest.

15 There shall the great owl make her nest, and lay, and hatch, and gather under her shadow: there shall the vultures also be gathered, every one with her mate.

A Prideful & Drunken America

12/29/2013

Picture
Here is a verse from Isaiah 28 ... as I read this, it just makes me think about the U.S. and it's current condition ... prideful ... drunkards ... glorious beauty fading ... fat valleys ... overcome with wine.

The rest of the chapter describes its downfall by the hand of the Lord ....

1 Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!

Have a good and blessed day,

Is Tithing Biblical?

12/14/2013

Is a 10% 'Forced' Tithe Biblical?

Both the Old and New Testaments clearly show that offerings are to be made with thanksgiving of the heart, and by our own free will.

Leviticus 22:29
"And when ye will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto the Lord, offer it at your own will."

2 Corinthians 9:7  "Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver."

The giver must be of a 'willing mind', and the offering is made out of what a 'man hath' - not what he 'hath not'.

This is a clear instruction that an offering, and even a 'tithe', should be made from a person's net income, not from the gross as is so often preached.

How can one give of what they don't have?  In both the Old and New Testaments, offerings were made from the crops and livestock that they actually had.

One is to give as they are able, and from that which they have:

2 Corinthians 8:12   " For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not."

Deuteronomy 16:17  "Every man shall give as he is able."

Ezekiel 46:11 "The meat offering shall be  ...as he is able to give."

In the Old Testament of the Bible, when there was a precedent for the Tithe, it was usually during certain days of celebration, and not on an ongoing basis.

When Melchizedek, a priest of God,  blessed Abraham who “gave him tithes of all” (Genesis 14:20), it was done on the specific occasion of a victorious battle.

In the New Testament, the Apostle Paul noted that the offering should be done willingly, not from compulsion or given grudgingly. (2 Corinthians 9:5, 7).

My hope and prayer is that God's people would be freed from the burden of guilt that the supposed required tithe sometimes brings and see that the New Covenant does not require this type of offering.

Offerings should be made from a glad and willing heart, not from a superimposed 'requirement' of 10% of one's gross household income.

Give to the ministry of your choice, but most of all give of yourselves unto God:

Romans 12:1  "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service."

Micah 6:8  "What doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?"

The Lord's 'requirements' are not burdensome:  "For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."  Matthew 11:30

WHICH CROWN DO YOU DESIRE?

Hello Friends,

It's always interesting when you've been discussing a topic and then read a scripture that confirms the truth:  1 Peter 5 -

1 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:

2  Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;

3  Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.

4  And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, you shall receive a crown of glory that fades not away.

I think a lot of the "wealthy elders" are going for "the crown" that not only "fades away" but as James 5 says, " shall eat your flesh as it were fire."  It appears that the "lust of the flesh" is much stronger than the fear of God for some.  And again, this instruction given in the Bible is to the leadership (elders) in the church that have been given the responsibility of leading the flock (as examples).

In His Love,

Pastor Greg
