YOU HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR! YOU HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR!
Regardless of whether you think that COVID is an actual pandemic virus or not, the question as to who is in control is still valid.
Ultimately, of course, God is in control of everything in heaven and in earth. Man's current fear of a microscopic bug that may or may not exist is quite shameful.
At the very least, the across the board overreaction in every facet of life throughout our world is very uncalled for. We have been given an immune system by our Lord and Creator for a reason.
This immune system given to us by God works very well to protect us from germs, viruses and bacteria if well taken care of through right living and healthful practices.
Do I think that this is actually a plague? No, not in the sense of an actual ‘pandemic’ virus. I do believe that if God has allowed this to happen though it is because we have trusted in Government instead of God. We have committed the sin of Idolatry:
"Nevertheless in the day when I visit I will visit their sin upon them. And the Lord plagued the people, because they made the calf..." Exodus 32:34-35
We have believed mainstream media propaganda instead of the Bible and our own God-given common sense. A Coronavirus is just one of 3 basic types of Colds or Flus (the other 2 being Influenza and the Common Cold) that come around every year during ‘flu’ season.
Each year, the Coronavirus, Influenza and/or Cold is ‘Novel’ (meaning new) because it is never the same from year to year, therefore ‘novel’ or ‘new’. It is very true that. "There is nothing to fear but fear itself." The unfounded fear in COVID is now wreaking havoc much worse than a virus on countless innocent lives.
"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7
We should fear only God:
"Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him." Psalm 2:11-12
This is a time like no other for God's people to rise up and pray - and to pray as never before - against the powers of darkness that seek our utter destruction:
"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Ephesians 6:12
Why do the evil rulers of this world seek to do this? Because they hate God, and they especially hate God's people. They wish to break their cords from God and have nothing to do with him. But God will ultimately laugh at their plans and will vex them in his wrath:
"Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion." Psalm 2:2-5
