Meth- is a prefix used in chemistry. It indicates that a chemical compound has been derived from methane or contains "methyl" groups.
The chemical that was spilled therefore shares the same chemical group and prefix as Methamphetamine. In fact, it shares this prefix twice over (methylcyclohexane methanol) - Doubled!
I can't help but think there may be a message here: West Virginia is one of the states with the highest Meth use and manufacture.
The LORD is patient and slow to anger, but perhaps He is giving his people a wake-up call.
