JOHN 6:65 KJV Throughout the old testament, we see God's grace and mercy bestowed on His chosen people ... the descendants of Abraham ... from the parting of the Red Sea to escape the slavery in Egypt ... to the deliverance from the hand of the King of Babylon.
But in every instance of grace and deliverance was followed eventually with disobedience and turning away from God's commandments for them.
Yet they were ... and always will be God's chosen people. But to be "chosen" is not the same as being "redeemed" ... for everyone ... even "God's chosen people" ... is in need of the redemption of Christ that was bought on the cross by His blood. The is no redemption in ourselves ... in who we are ... in our heritage ... our birth right ... but only in Christ.
John 6: 65
And he said, Therefore said I to you, that no man can come to me, except
it were given to him of my Father.

Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes
to the Father, but by me.
