As we read the beginning of Genesis, we see that there was light and
darkness ... Day and Night ... before the sun and moon were created.
God spoke these four words, "Let there be light" ... and there was
light.
Some might think this is a mistake ... that the sun and moon
would have to have been created first, so that day and night could exist
... but that would be wrong. The truth is "God is light" and everything
is illuminated in His glorious presence.
2 Corinthians 4: 6
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in
our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in
the face of Jesus Christ.
John 8: 12
Then spoke Jesus again to them, saying, I am the light of the world: he
that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life
