These in turn are held together by the 4 Base Pairs - the 4 Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John - which link the Old Testament to the New.
We are 'fearfully and wonderfully' made in God's own image to reflect Him in every way. It's no surprise that we would also resemble His word:
"...in thy book all my members were written." (Psalm 139:16)
"...and the Word was God." (John 1:1) "Thy word is truth." (John 17:17)
In the Bible, we are warned against 'adding to God's word'. This would be just as disastrous as it would be to add anything to our DNA.
This constitutes 'corruption' to the precise coding that keeps us alive and that helps the 'body' even be able to function at all.
Any addition to the Bible of 'another gospel' is also a corruption of its 'pure DNA' - the pure 'seed', or word, of the Bible.
We are warned in the Bible not to 'mingle the seed' of different plants or animals. This is a type, or lesson, of keeping the pure Word of God in our hearts.
"...thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed." (Leviticus 19:19)
