We admire ...sometimes revere ... these people or leaders, who may, in the eyes of the world, tower above us.
But we need to measure all things against the Word of God, which is Christ, and His example. It's not "greatness" that Jesus spoke or lived ... but a life of service and sacrifice ...even unto death ... in obedience to God, our Father in Heaven.
We must consider and scrutinize all we hear ... all we're told ... all we're instructed to follow ... by the Word of God ... as it is written, "Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, and today, and forever" (Hebrews 13:1). The Word of God never changes.
