... but often, it comes softly ... "with a kiss."
There is an old saying, "You catch more flies with honey and with vinegar" ... and when it comes to deception, this can be especially true.
The allure of the world ... the lies of the enemy ... the "lust of the flesh, the lust of they eyes, and the pride of life" ... is the very snare that brought sin and death to
all all men.
And Jesus ... the Son of Man ... who came to redeem us all
... was also betrayed "with a kiss."
We need to be wise ... to beware of the "kisses" that the enemy would use to steal all that Christ has redeemed ... all that He paid for in full ... and has given freely to us as His beloved.
Luke 22: 47-48
And while he yet spoke, behold a multitude, and he that was called
Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near to Jesus to
kiss him. But Jesus said to him, Judas, betray you the Son of man with
a kiss?
1 John 2:15-16
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man
love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is
in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the
pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
Prayer: "Dear Lord, help us to be wise and to beware of any lies and deception that the enemy of our souls would use to steal all that Christ truly has for us and not to fall into sin and temptation that would grieve us but instead be blessed by all that Christ has paid for us in full ... In the complete Peace and Joy that He has given freely to us as His beloved." - Amen
