During the Halloween season, we tend to think about things that may be frightening to us.
But God tells us in his word that we can stand firm against our fears, and even against the devil himself.
1 Peter 5:8-9
"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith..."
2 Timothy 1:7
"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
James 4:7
"Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
Matthew 17:18
"And Jesus rebuked the devil..."
