THE GREEDY ARE GUILTY OF IDOLATRY There is a saying in politics, "Never let a good crisis go to waste." The COVID 'crisis' is no exception.
The leaders of this world are covetous for ever more wealth and power, and their insidious plan to gain control is in full swing.
These leaders and false 'shepherds' are never satifsfied and can never have enough: They, "coveteth greedily all the day long." Proverbs 21:26
"Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter." Isaiah 56:11
The Bible defines covetousness as the sins of greed and idolatry, and God includes these sins among those that will keep one from any inheritance in the heavenly kingdom:
"For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God." Ephesians 5:5
"Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience." Colossians 3:5-8
We know also from 1 Timothy 6:10 that the "Love of money is the root of all evil." Those that have sought through the 'greed of gain' to shut down the world's economy which is surely leading to famine and bloodshed are truly evil:
"For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood. So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof. Proverbs 1:16 &19
"But thine eyes and thine heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for to shed innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it." Jeremiah 22:17
Martial law and police-state tactics with their 'violence' and 'oppression' without feeling and without cause by innocent victims have already taken hold in many places throughout the world by the 'powers that (should not) be'.
"Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness." Ephesians 4:19
The draconian measures and government overreach without regard to human life and well-being has been far worse for us than a 'virus' that has taken less for a toll than even in an ordinary flu season.
With their blatant lies and hypocrisy, they truly epitomize this verse from 1 Timothy 4:2: "Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron."
In actuality, the powers of this world are not content with just power and money; they want absolutely all that we have and desire full control over everything and everyone. They covet our homes, our businesses, and even our futures:
"And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage." Micah 2:2
OUR HOPE: Is there a way out for us? Absolutely! God has said in his Word that His plans for us are for peace and not for evil. If we seek the Lord with all our hearts, he will turn away our captivity:
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you." Jeremiah 29: 11-12
"And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the Lord: and I will turn away your captivity." Jeremiah 29: 13-14
