BEHOLD I STAND AT THE DOOR AND KNOCK The Called Are Those Who Answer the Call - And Those Who Hear His Knock & Open the Door:
"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." Revelation 3:20
"Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ." Romans 1:6
We may sometimes hear the verse below from Romans and wonder 'who are the called?' and moreover, 'am I one of the called':
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28
The 'called' are simply those who are called 'according to his purpose'. What then is His purpose? It is salvation through Jesus Christ!
God makes his purpose of Salvation - to which we all are called, if we answer this call - known through his word, the Holy Scriptures:
GOD'S SALVATION:
"...The holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus."
2 Timothy 3:15
"Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ." 2 Thessalonians 2:14
BELIEVE UNTO SALVATION!:
It is He that frees us from Sin unto Salvation to everyone that believes:
"For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty." Galatians 5:13
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth."
Romans 1:16
You are the called and now we should all press on toward this prize of that 'high calling'. And, God will help us in this endeavor for He who called us is faithful to do it:
"I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:14
"Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it."
1 Thessalonians 5:24
